HAVANA & ORIENTAL LILAC CAT CLUB SHOW

My thanks to Janet Tonkinson and the committee for inviting me to judge. I well remember the exemption and sanction shows of the H&OLCC, I was Chairman of the club at that time. The only varieties at the show were Havanas and Lilacs, and we mustered, on average, 60 of them …. how times have changed. At this year's show there were a mere 12 Havanas & Lilacs, indicating quite clearly that the Orientals have declined dramatically. The show was extremely well organised and a very friendly affair, the hall is perfect with ample parking, excellent facilities, perfect lighting and plenty to see in the vicinity - the committee surely deserve far more support for their hard work.

A cat of overall very good type. Excellent head for type and balance, excellent top of head, very good profile. Ears of excellent size and shape, correctly set. Bright clear blue eyes of excellent shape and set. Excellent body type. Tail very short and unbalanced. Coat rather long, very yellowish in colour lacking sparkle and preparation.

Bauerfeind's GR CH SHIMILEETA IWASBORNTOLOVEU 35 07-05-05
Ears of good size but held rather low. Fairly good head type. Excellent body length and type. Tail fair length and taper showing stud tail. Coat yellowish and lacking sparkle.

A very attractive chap with a superb temperament. Head rather short for balance. Ears very good size, shape and set. Skull very flat resulting in an angular profile. Good chinline. Excellent eye shape and set, acceptable eye colour. Body of excellent length though just a little heavy in type. Coat of excellent length and texture - absolutely no question he's SLH! Excellent bright red shading on a superb silver ground. A very attractive exhibit indeed … and boy didn't he enjoy a cuddle!

A pleasing exhibit of good overall conformation. Head of basically good type but lacking a little length for perfect balance. Ears of very good size, correctly set and held well. Excellent bright clear green eye colour, correct shape and set. Body of fair length, balanced legs and tail. Coat of excellent length, very full, maybe just a little harsh in texture. Excellent colour, very well mingled, almost sound to the roots. A delightful natured lass well deserving the PC. A delight to judge. Excellent condition and presentation.
