An enjoyable show in the very capable hands of Jacky Edwards. It was so good to meet up with some 'old' friends again. Many thanks to Mark Parkinson for stewarding for me.

A very attractive youngster of overall excellence. Well balanced head of strong Oriental type. Ears large well shaped and correctly set with excellent top of head. Excellent profile, strong chin and correct bite. Good green eyes of excellent size, shape and set. Head carried on long elegant neck. Long slender body of superb Oriental type. Long limbs, just a little heavy for balance. Tail good length and taper. Coat of very good texture but lacking in length. A very attractive coat colour, essentially looking black but with an excellent clear silver ground - this is what a Smoke should look like! Excellent condition and temperament.

The second time in 2 weeks that I've given this award to this very superior Oriental. A large elegant lad of excellent Oriental type. Excellent head carried on elegant neck. Ears large and well set with excellent width between. Excellent profile, firm chin and correct bite. Green eyes of excellent shape, correctly set, superb expression. Body long and well muscled of excellent Oriental type. Tall slender legs. Tail excellent length and taper. Coat very short and close-lying, and dense glossy black to the roots. A superb tempered chap shown in excellent condition.

Strong, well balanced head of overall excellence. Ears large, excellent shape and very well set with excellent top of head. Excellent profile, firm chin and even bite. Good lines to the wedge overall but slight muzzle pinch detracts. Eyes of very good shape and size, excellent set, fair green colour.Long elegant firm body of excellent Oriental body type. Tail lacking sufficient length for balance. Legs of very good length, but rather heavy and lacking elegance, very heavy paws. Coat of excellent texture but very short, colour a very dark blue with only reasonably defined shading. A very pleasant affable lad.

An older exhibit, generally very heavy type and also carrying too much weight. Head of good basic Oriental shape. Ears of good shape size and set. Skull very uneven. Eyes of good size and shape, well set, fair colour. Body short and rather cobby in build. Tail short and lacking sufficient taper. Coat of very good length and texture, very sleek and close lying, glossy dense black and sound to the roots. A pleasant old Chap but not up to Grand standard.

Unfortunately this very stroppy exhibit was willing to be handled for me to sufficiently assess her - she was returned to the pen with some haste and it was clearly evident that she was not playing. Head of medium type. Ears fair size but the set is anybody's guess! Eyes far too horizontal in set. Skull far too flat and uneven, poor profile. Coat was of good length and texture, showing far too many markings in the dorsal area where the spine lines were clearly visible and something which I am not prepared to accept in a Self.

A large well-grown lad of overall very good type. Ears good size and shape, very well set. Good skull, very good profile. Fair chin. Fair muzzle, cheeks need better definition. Eyes of fairly good colour, good size and shape. Excellent body type, very good length, good strong rib cage. Well boned legs. Tail to balance but unfortunately has a very noticeable tail defect. Coat of superb length and texture, excellent colour. Excellent condition and temperament.

2 Vicker's Rosyposy Butterscotch 66dw MN 11-10-08
A large well grown exhibit. Ears good size and shape, setting requires more forward tilt. Cheeks lack sufficient development. Poor profile requiring definition. Nose too long. Eyes pale in colour and rather round in shape. Excellent long body type, well boned. Tail of good length. Coat well prepared, very good length and texture. Colour appeared rather more cream than red.

Considered for BoB: Turner's Pr Groovicats Spirit of America 66 MN 18-04-07
Overall this lad is far too fine in the head, the nose is over long and this combined with insufficient cheek development results in a very fine muzzle. Good overall body type. Good coat. Good condition and temperament.

This youngster lacks size and still looks a big kitten, however her type was overall very good and at 11 months lack of maturity is definitely not a fault!! Ears of very good shape and size, excellent set. Excellent top of head and profile. Firm chin and correct bite. Very good muzzle and excellent cheek development for age. Excellent body type, good length back, strong legs, balanced tail. Good strong bone. Excellent coat length and texture, well marked. Avery pleasing youngster of overall quality - very much a baby but showing great promise, well deserving of PC & BoB.

Unfortunately this exhibit was very agitated and in a foul temper andwas virtually impossible to handle. Overall he is a cat of great quality. Head of overall excellence, Excellent ear size and shape, well set. Excellent top of head, Excellent profile, correct nose length. Muzzle of very good shape. Body appeared to be of very good type. Colour appeared good. Unfortunately his aggression prevented a full examination … but for his temperament I have little doubt that I would have awarded the CC.

Oriental Fawn Kitten
Wrong Colour Corby/Dolan's Ikishiroo Lilacascade Kikima 37r F 09-09-09
Head overall a little narrow for correct balance. Ears of good size and shape, gould be a little wider in set. Good even profile. Muzzle showing slight pinch. Good chin line, correct bite. Body of very good Oriental type, well balanced legs, tail good length and taper. Coat short and close lying, excellent texture. Coat colour is a very distinct (even allowing for hall lighting) warm lilac in colour and shows no indication of being Fawn accordingly I had to mark a very attractive kitten 'Wrong Colour', in my opinion she is a correctly coloured Lilac.

Oriental Caramel Neuter
1 IC & BoB Mullineaux' Sybella Sunblessed 37n MN 14-01-09
A well grown exhibit of pleasing Oriental type overall. Well balanced head. Ears large and well set with good width between. Good even profile, strong chin and even bite. Eyes of excellent green colour, beautiful shape and correct set. Excellent length body of fine Oriental type. Good length legs. Good length tail but lacking sufficient taper. Coat very short and close lying, fairly good texture. The colour is a little uneven and shows indication of 'weathering'; the hall light does little to help with assessing colour but it appeared to be a rather light Caramel of lilac/fawn base showing feint but typical metallic tracings on neck and top of head.
