Many thanks to Pat and Dorothy and the Committee for
inviting me to judge at Cheshire Area once again, held just 40 minutes
travelling from my home this is one of my favourite shows. Unfortunately my
Mother was unable to attend and in her absence I took over some of her classes,
I hope exhibitors were not too disappointed. I was very pleased to have Pauline
Fowler as my Steward, this was Pauline's first venture and I hope I did not put
her off! Hope you'll do for me again Pauline.
Oriental Female

1 GCC n/a Klokow's CH BAKENEKO NO WORRIES 37fn
At
5¼ years she now looks her age and her type has deteriorated
considerably. Her type is now only 'fair'. Ears of good size, shape and set.
Good profile. Muzzle weak and lacking substance. Indeterminate bite. Eyes fair
shape and set. Body of good length And overall type, with balanced legs. Tail
of good length, fairly well tapered with terminal defect. Coat of fair texture
but rather long, colour very even and sound. Unfortunately not up to Grand CC
standard.
CNH - Shepherd's CH SANDTUM SNOWPRINCESS 35
Unfortunately this delightful cat who I've judged several times in the past
with no problems at all decided to go for bust and nearly got a Biting
Certificate for her trouble, such a pity because she would probably have got a
Grand!

SHADOWSINTHESKY 62/20
Ears of excellent size, shape and set. Excellent
top of head. Very good profile, correct bite and very good chin line. Eyes of
excellent size, shape and set and the most vibrant clear green colour.
Excellent body type, with superb body length, balanced legs and tail. Coat of
excellent texture and fairly good length, excellent plumed tail. Pattern a
little solid along dorsal area, but fairly well defined on sides.
Norwegian Forest Cat Adult
Considered for BoB -
Dobson's CH MAYSULA ZMARETTA 67/31ts
Head overall rather broad
across the skull and lacking sufficient length to provide balance. Fairly good
profile. Fair body type though she appeared to be rather short in the leg and
lacking elegance. Coat rather short. I did not feel she was of CC standard and
therefore BoB n/a.

VERVAIN LYRA BELACQUA 72/45q
Ears of very good shape size and set,
with excellent top of head. Eyes very good shape and set. Nose very good
length. Fairly good profile just a little too straight. Body rather small and
lacking elegance, needs to grow on. Coat rather long, fair ticking, but colour
too cold.

& Goss' KAGURA ROLAND D'OR 68/45
Head overall a little long for
width. Ears or fair size and shape, but he would insist on holding them rather
upright. Fairly good dome to skull. Nose a trifle long, otherwise good profile.
Excellent body type with balanced legs and tail. Coat of excellent length and
texture, well marked and of good colour. Whilst I felt his type was not up to
standard I thought his coat qualities just brought him up to CC standard.
Excellent condition and temperament.

BoB. Now showing his advancing years. A cat of
overall excellent type and coat qualities. Certainly a great old cat in his
day.

Unfortunately this lady was
extremely grumpy and difficult to handle. Her type appeared to be OK but it was
impossible to assess profile etc whilst she was snarling! Such a pity. Coat
very dark in colour lacking distinct ticking. BoB n/a.

Another
stroppy cat who did not want to be handled and again I was not able to make a
full assessment of him. His type overall appeared to be fair, but his coat was
far too long and not sound to the roots.

Ears
of very good size and shape correctly set with good width between. Profile very
good overall, just showing a little prominence at the brow, hopefully this will
grow out with age. Superb green eyes of excellent size, shape and set.
Excellent long elegant neck. Excellent body type. Long slim legs, good length
and taper to tail. Coat of excellent length and texture, very good even colour,
but not quite sound to the roots. A very pleasing kitten overall.
