My thanks to Chris Titterington and Committee for inviting me once again to judge at this popular summer show. Unfortunately we had a litter of kittens which required supplementary feeding and had to leave the show before lunch, many thanks Chris for making this possible.

Havana, Adult Male
1 Simpson's Ch Niterap Chestnut Brown. 29-12-2001
A cat of overall very good Oriental type and conformation to breed standard. Ears large and very well set with very good top of head. Green eyes of very good shape and set. Profile just a little too angular for perfection. Excellent body type with perfectly balanced limbs. Coat of fair length and texture, but unfortunately very uneven in colour and extremely unsound, so much so that the very pale base was clearly visible without parting the coat. CC not awarded.

Havana, Adult Female
1 Cassar-Simmonds' Ch Fiordilisio Infidels Legacy. 13-02-2003
A cat of good overall type. Ears very good shape, size and set with excellent top of head. Good profile. Eyes of fairly good green colour, very good shape and correct set. Excellent body type. Tail a little short for balance but well tapered. Coat a fraction long, very good texture, good rich colour though not quite sound. Unfortunately this very attractive queen has a noticeable and unacceptable reduction of pigmentation in the skin her lips are pink, nose shows pink skin, and paw pads are almost entirely pink, though some show correct brown patches. This is not acceptable in this breed. CC not awarded.

Oriental Black, Adult Female
1 Scholes' Samantha Mumbha. 24-04-2003
A fifteen month old female of reasonable Oriental type. Ears of good size but very upright in setting. Eyes very full though of fairly good set, clear yellow in colour. Profile rather uneven, good chin. Muzzle showing severe pinch. Excellent long body of very good type and in excellent condition. Long limbs, very good tail length. Coat of good texture, rather long for perfection and very unsound.

2 Brooks' Borealis Little Eva. 19-10-2003
Even allowing for the fact that she is only 10 months old I found this queen to be very small and light weight. Ears of very good shape and set. Fair top of head. Profile very uneven, bite uneven. Eyes of good shape and set, colour appeared to be rather gold than green, but it was difficult to assess because her haws were raised, for which reason I had her checked by the Duty Vet. Body good type. Coat good length and fairly sound.

Oriental Smoke, Adult Male
1, CC & BoB Bowen's Sanibel Choctaw Nashoba. 24-04-2003
Ears of good size, shape and set. Fairly good top of head, good profile. Green eyes of correct set, but rather full. Fair lines to wedge. Excellent body length and type with well balanced limbs, tail rather short. Coat of good length and texture, good chocolate colour with fair smoke under colour, though I have to say that I would prefer a greater depth and clarity of smoking. Nice cat and I thought on balance worthy of the CC.

Havana Female Kitten

What a very nice, even very very nice, kitten of overall excellence showing no exaggeration of type but simply showing pure quality. Ears of very good size and shape, correctly set and following the lines of the wedge. Excellent top of head with no tendency to flatness. Pleasing even profile. Green eyes of very good size, perfect setting, but on the day just a little full. Excellent body type. Tail good length but just a tadge thick at the tip. Coat of excellent length and texture, excellent even rich chocolate colour and sound to the roots. A very well grown youngster shown in excellent condition. A delightful kitten of great quality and a joy to handle. I shall look forward to seeing her again.
