My thanks to Mark and Julian and the Show Committee for inviting me once again to judge at this large and superbly organised show - as always a pleasure to judge for this 'no hassle' show. My thanks as always to Mark Parkinson for stewarding for me and helping me wade through a very full book in good time.

Norwegian Forest Cat Adult Male

1. CC N/A Scott's KOOLFUR BEN CASSIO 67/31dt 3yr 2mths. Head rather broad in proportion to length. Good profile. Ears of fair shape and set, but rather small for balance. Eyes of very good shape and set. Body legs and tail in proportion, but lacking the size and substance I would expect in a mature adult male. Coat rather greasy and open with insufficient undercoat. Very attractive coloration. Lovely natured chap.

Ragdoll Bi Colour Male Neuter

1. CC & BoB Haworth's POLLYWOFFLES TYSON 66 31a 1yr 10mths. What can I say about this outstanding exhibit? This really is a superb specimen and just drips quality! Head of overall excellence. Excellent ear shape and size, perfectly set with the desired forward tilt. Skull just a little too rounded for perfection. Excellent profile. Well defined cheeks, with superb muzzle. Excellent eye shape, size and set, of acceptable colour, though for perfection they could be a brighter blue. Excellent strong neck. Excellent body type. This chap has a superbly muscled body with excellent rib cage and is strongly boned. Whilst he is a massive cat he is NOT fat - simply a very big strong cat! Coat of excellent length and texture. Overall has excellent markings, though the face markings are not quite symmetrical. A very amenable chap, easy to handle with a very relaxed nature. This is an exhibit I have admired in the past and without doubt he has fulfilled his early promise. Without question of doubt this exhibit is one of the finest examples of the breed and any criticisms I have of him are by any standards nothing more than 'nit picking'. I unhesitatingly awarded the IC, my only regret being that it wasn't a PC . . . . . he certainly has all the attributes that I look for in this breed!

2. Harnell's CHARISMAGIC DREAMWEAVER 66 31 9mths 3 wks. Head of very good type overall. Very good skull. Ears of excellent shape, size and set. Good profile though nose indentation a little too defined. Excellent chin line. Excellent eye shape and set. Fair cheeks, muzzle rather square. Excellent body type, and very good size for his age. Excellent coat length and texture. Fair markings. Points colour lacking in intensity. A promising youngster.

3. Ashworth's EMERISLE SPINDRIFT 66 31a 2yrs 1mth. Head of fair type. Ears of good shape but small for balance and require more width between. Excellent blue eyes of good shape and set. Fair profile but nose too long. Muzzle weak and cheeks lacking the required development. Good body type. Coat of excellent length and texture. Fair markings.

Colourpointed / Mitted Male Neuter

1 IC & BoB Lynch's CHESAWOOD WILLOW UFGOOD 66 12mths 2wk. Head of very good type overall. Skull a little rounded. Ears of very good size shape and set. Good profile. Excellent eye shape size and set, very good colour. Very good muzzle, cheeks developing well. Excellent body type lacking only in maturity. Excellent coat length and texture, body colour a little dark. Excellent points colour. An attractive and promising youngster lacking only in maturity. Excellent temperament and condition. Well deserving of the IC.

Colourpointed / Mitted Female Neuter

1 IC N/A Ashworth's EMERISLE BELLETOILE 66a 15mths 2wk. Overall this cat lacks a fundamental requirement of the breed in that she is very small and far too fine boned for the breed even taking her age into account. Ears of fair size but too upright in set. Eyes good shape and set, fair colour. Good profile. Cheeks lacking sufficient development. Muzzle rather square. Coat of good length and texture.

Foreign White, Adult Female

1 CC & BoB Bruton's MICHANT DAYSINWHITESATIN 35 10mths 2wks. A lovely elegant young female. Very good head shape overall. Excellent ears for size shape and set. Excellent profile. Excellent lines to wedge. Excellent eye shape and set, very good blue colour. Excellent body type with fine dainty limbs. Tail very short and thick spoiling the overall balance. Coat very short and close lying. Paws needing a little more show preparation. A most appealing exhibit and I felt despite a few criticisms well worthy of the CC.

Oriental Lilac, Adult Female

1 CC N/A Tonkinson's MISHKANA AMETHYSTROSE 29c 15mths 2 wks. Head overall too narrow for balance and lacking the desired even lines to wedge. Ears of good size but set too high and lacking sufficient width between. Top of head too flat. Fair profile. Muzzle showing severe pinch. Eyes of fair shape and set, fair colour. Body of very good overall type. Coat of fair length and texture. Coat colour very uneven overall and very unsound - the upper third of the hair being a totally different colour to the lower two thirds.
