My thanks to Show Managers, Jennifer & Ian Fleming, and the Committee for inviting me to judge once again. The entry was up and the excellent new venue just a little tight for room, but I'm sure that this little problem can be overcome in future years. I was delighted to have Mrs Barbara Fellows as my steward, and as always in her company had a thoroughly enjoyable day - many thanks Barbara.

AOV FOREIGN CHAMPION FEMALE
GD CH awarded to: Payne's CH NEMOREZ LULABYOF BIRDLAND 72/45n - 2yr
What a very pleasing exhibit this was, and what a cat to start the day with! A cat not only of excellence but with a temperament to match! Excellent head shape. Excellent muzzle shape. Very good strong chin line and perfect bite. Nose of perfect length, excellent profile and superb domed top of head. Ears excellent size, shape and set. Superb eye shape and set. Body of really superior Asian type. Excellent coat length and texture. The ticking was quite good, but the colour was a little cold and the base colour rather pale and rather deeper than I would desire …. but hey I'm only a human and she didn't take offence when I pointed it out! What a stunning exhibit - the Breeders and the Owner can be proud of this one!

ORIENTAL CHAMPION FEMALE
GD CH awarded to: Phillips' CH SEIDO SORTILEGE 29c - 3yr 4 mth.
An older lady just showing her age. Ears of very good size shape and set. Green eyes of excellent shape and set. Very good lines to wedge, showing the slightest of muzzle pinches. Profile overall good but a little dippy in places. Body of very good type and length, though I'd like her to carry a little more weight. Coat of good length and texture and appeared to be good colour, I was concerned that it was a little open. A nice basic cat, though I will admit I did hesitate over the award of the Grand, but taking her age into account I thought that it was warranted ….. and actually she did work hard for it!

NORWEGIAN FOREST CAT FEMALE
1, CC & BoB Johnstone's TUYET ANISE 67/31t 11 months
An excellent large strongly built female of surprising overall balance and maturity for her age. Ears of very good shape and set, with correct width between. Very good profile and excellent chin line. Excellent lines to wedge overall though a slight pinch does detract a little. Excellent eye shape and set. Excellent body type, large and strongly built. Excellent strong bone to legs. Pleasing tail length. Excellent coat length and texture. A most attractive lady shown in lovely condition, and with a delightful nature - we had a pleasant little interlude together.

2 Lindgren's DAYJOY TITANIA 67/31es 15 months
Ears of very good shape and size correctly set. Very good profile with pleasing chin line. Excellent muzzle and wedge. Eyes very good shape and set. Excellent body type. Excellent size and bone structure. Excellent legs. Coat of good length but rather soft and rather lacking in top coat, a pity because this did count on the day. Another delightful young lady with a great nature.

Considered for BoB : Johnstone's CH NORDLYS SNEFRID 67/31ts - 18months
Unfortunately this exhibit was very small and lightweight, and lacking that boldness and strength required in the breed. I thought her ears were small for balance and her eyes were very narrow and Oriental in set.

NORWEGIAN FOREST CAT KITTEN
1 & BoB Johnstone's NIRRIBHIDH CALYPSO 67/31gt - 5 months
What a delightful youngster. A kitten of overall excellent type. Excellent balanced head shape. Ears of excellent size and shape, correctly set and perfectly held. Excellent profile. Excellent eye shape and set. Excellent body type and size for age. Coat of excellent length and texture. This really is a most promising kitten, she certainly proved a bit of a time waster!! If she continues to develop this early promise she should have a great future before her.

2 Healing's JHARDUFAE CHOPSIZ WEEMAJ 67/20 - 5 months
Another pleasing youngster of overall very good type. Ears of good shape and size, appeared to be correctly set, but were carried rather low. Excellent eye shape and set. Head overall rather broad for correct balance. Fairly good profile. Excellent body size and type, excellent size for age. Very good coat length and texture. A very nice friendly natured youngster …. I only hope she didn't get an earful from her owner for coming 2nd , I most certainly did.

AC BI-COLOUR RAGDOLL MALE KITTEN
1 Milner's WIMSEYCATS DOUBLEOSEVEN 66/31a - 5mnth & 3 wk
Ears of very good size but rather high in set, and unfortunately carried upright. Eyes good shape and set but very pale in colour and with a startled expression. Good muzzle and cheeks developing well. Skull rather too rounded. Fair profile. Coat of good length and texture, good pale blue points colour. Well marked.

1 & BOB Sprot's RAGALYN SOLITAIRE 66/31a - 6 months
A well grown kitten of overall excellent type. Excellent head shape. Ears of correct size and shape perfectly set. Eyes excellent shape and set. Very good nose length, excellent profile and flat skull. Excellent body type, very well grown and with strong bone. Very good coat length and texture, excellent points colour. Very good markings. A most attractive and promising, shown in excellent condition. A lovely natured little lass I enjoyed passing the time of day with.

A kitten of very good size and overall type. Ears of very good shape size and set. Very good profile. Good top of head. Fair muzzle, cheeks need better definition. Eyes good shape and set. Very good body type. Good coat length and texture, excellent points colour.

2 Pringle's ADDICTIKAT LAMBOUGHINI 66aw
Ears of very good size, well set. Eyes very deeply set with an intermittent squint. Profile quite good, but rather too long in the nose. Fair cheek development. Very good body type and size. Excellent coat length and texture. Very well marked.

ORIENTAL RED MALE
1 CC & BoB Holdsworth's WESTGARTH SORCERERS SECRET 37d - 9½ months
A large well developed young male of excellent Oriental type. Large ears of excellent shape and set. Excellent profile with very good strong chin line. Excellent lines to wedge. Eyes of excellent shape and set, rather a poor yellowish green in colour. Excellent long firm masculine body, certainly nothing wimpy about this chap. Long legs, neat paws. Good tail length and taper. Excellent coat length and texture. Solid clear red dorsal area, with some - acceptable - markings to rest of body. A delightful tempered cat shown in excellent condition.

ORIENTAL TICKED TABBY KITTEN
1 & BoB Parkinson's JOYJEWEL SMAUG AKIVA 45b - 20 weeks A most attractive kitten showing great promise. Ears large and well set with excellent top of head. Very good profile overall though shows dip to nose at present. Very good muzzle and good lines to wedge - showing slightest of teething pinches. Green eyes of good shape and set. Excellent body type with good length tail - and that rarity today a 'swan' neck! Coat of excellent length and texture. Good chocolate ticking on a warm base, however I would prefer the ticking to be narrower with more clarity, and slightly less base colour. A most attractive and promising kitten.
