The entry of Ragdolls was to say the very least disappointing. My grateful thanks to Phil Cornish, Wendy Hopkins and Nick Roberts for their assistance and humour -- sorry you had so little to do and so much time to waste.
I was very disappointed with the quality of the Oriental kittens presented to me for Best of Variety judging - none in my opinion warranted the award, but I was left in no doubt by the Show Manager that I had to make an award. T was therefore very surprised at the Overall BIS.
Bi-colour Ragdoll Neuter Male
1,IC & BoB Taylors RUGRATS FERDINAND A large cat of overall good type and substance. Good broad head with ears large and well set. Fairly good profile, though nose a little long. Cheeks fairly well defined, but better development would be beneficial. Clear blue eyes of good intensity, good shape size and set. Excellent build and body type. Coat good length and texture. Well marked. Body a little dark.

Merit : Marsden's VILLAGER BOJANGLES A large neuter of overall excellent type. Very good head overall. Good profile. Cheeks need a little better definition. Eyes of good size and shape, just a little pale. Excellent body type. Coat of good length and texture. Good points colour, body very dark.
Merit : Chappell's ADQUALO FEARLESS FRITZ A large well built neuter of overall very good type. Ears good size and correct set. Good muzzle, very well developed cheeks. Eyes of very good shape and set.. Excellent body type, though legs a trifle fine in bone. Very good coat length and texture. Good points colour with good contrast.
No Merit : Snowdon's SWAGNTAILS LUNAR KNIGHT An attractive cat of overall good type. Good head shape. Good profile. Ears good size and set. Very good muzzle and cheeks. Eyes a little small though of good shape. Very pale in colour and showing a definite tendency to squint. Body of overall good length, but rather fine boned. Coat of good texture but very short. Points colour very brindled.
Merit : Wingfield's POSHCATS LUCINDA A kitten of overall very good type. Ears good size and shape, though could be a little wider. Very good profile. Good nose length. Cheeks well developed. Eyes good shape, perhaps a little small. Very good body type. Excellent legs and feet. Coat of excellent length and texture, points colour a little uneven.
Merit : Davies' SONNYWOOD VENUSINBLUEJEANS An attractive female of overall good type. Very good strong head. Ears of excellent shape and set. Excellent profile. Very good muzzle and cheeks. Eyes of good shape and colour. Very good body type, just a trifle fine in bone. Well balanced tail. Very good coat length and texture. Good points colour, excellent body contrast. John S Harrison
