My thanks once again to Dorothy & Marie and the Committee for inviting me to judge at my local show. Thanks to Mark for stewarding for me with his usual care of the exhibits.

Norwegian Forest Cat Adult Male
1 CC & BoB Sedgwick's CATWO MOONSHINE 67 31ts 05/09/05
A pleasing exhibit of overall correct type. Ears good shape and size; well set, carried well when alert, but in the pen were very low. Good profile overall, slight dip to nose. Very good lines to wedge. Eyes good shape and size. Excellent body type, very good length body. Excellent legs. Good length tail. Excellent weight and substance for age. Coat a little sparse but top coat of excellent length and texture. A very pleasing youngster well deserving of CC.

1 CC Rowberry's CATWO CATRINA 67 22 05/09/05
Litter sister of the above. Ears of good size and shape, carried just a little wide. Excellent profile. Very good lines to wedge. Good chin and bite. Skull a little broad for length. Still very much a kitten in build and needing to grow a little, but correct body type with well proportioned legs and tail. Coat a little soft in texture, of good length. Excellent condition. Well deserving CC.

2 Morris' CATWO LADYBIRD 67 31fw 01/04/05
A very stroppy spiteful lady, very difficult to assess, and nearly marked 'CNH'. Rather too small and lightweight, lacking coat. Head short and broad. Good profile. Ears set wide and low. Tail very short.

A cat of medium type. Head rather wide and short lacking correct balance. Ears fair size but set low. Excellent profile. Eyes good shape and size. Body type rather cobby lacking length, legs rather short, tail very short. Coat rather soft. Not up to the required standard for award of PC

Havana Adult Female

Ears of very good size, shape and set. Flat skull with bony protrusions at the rear, prominent bump at brow resulting in a very uneven profile. Excellent eye shape and set. Excellent body type but needing to carry a little more weight. Fine legs and paws, good length tail. Coat of very good length and texture, good colour and fairly sound.

2 Dolan & Corby's ATASHA GRACIEGRAND 29 09/03/04
A very nervous and grumpy exhibit. Ears good size, set a little high. Skull rather flat spoiling an otherwise good profile. Muzzle rather square. Eyes fairly good shape and set, colour appeared to be rather orange. Coat of good length and texture, good colour and almost sound.

Oriental Cream or Apricot Adult Male

At just adult by one day this delightful lad shows very great promise. Ears of very good size, shape and set. Good top of head and superb profile. Clear green eyes of excellent shape and set. Excellent lines to wedge. Good chin, correct bite. Excellent body type with long slender legs and neat paws. Long well tapered tail. Very good coat length and texture, excellent clear cream colour with minimal markings - so nice to see a proper cream again!! I was very taken indeed with this excellent young male, a delightful cat of overall excellence shown in excellent condition, a credit to owner / breeder.

Head of good overall type. Ears good size, shape and set. Good profile. Eyes good shape and set. Good lines to wedge. Very good length body of correct type. Good length tail. Coat of very good length and texture, excellent rich red colour, well shaded, but I would prefer a clearer silver. Excellent condition. Well deserved CC.

Oriental Shaded Adult Female
NAR - Rowe's FOXYPAWS SUA LAI 43a 20/08/05
A young female of pleasing Oriental type. Ears of excellent size and shape, well set. Very good profile overall with just the slightest dip at the brow. Eyes good shape and set. Good muzzle. Body of good length and type with balanced legs and tail. Coat of very good length and texture. Good blue colour. Unfortunately the pattern extends to the skin and there is no evidence of any shading. The pattern is rather elongated and the dorsal area is rather solid. I am in no doubt that this lovely looking lass is more correctly 38a rather than 43a.

Havana Kitten Female

A delightful kitten of excellent type. Excellent head shape with large ears of correct shape and set. Excellent top of head and profile. Eyes a little full but of correct set, good colour. Excellent body type with fine legs, long well tapered tail. Coat a little long but of excellent texture, unfortunately whilst it is a good colour it is very unsound. Delightful temperament. A kitten of excellent type shown in excellent condition; my initial thought was to withhold the BoB because of unsoundness, but her overall excellent type caused me to give her the benefit of the doubt, she is just so 'Havana' in looks.

1 North's MISHKANA OUTOF THEBLUE 37a 13/03/06 BoB n/a Head of good shape overall. Ears of good size and shape, well set. Fair top of head. Uneven skull spoils profile. Eyes of good shape and set, fair greenish colour. Body of good type and length with dainty legs and balanced tail. Coat of very good length and texture, colour rather uneven with very dark blue overtones. A nice kitten overall, shown in excellent condition.

Ears of fair size and set. Skull very flat, definite dip almost a stop and rounded bump at end of nose giving an incorrect profile. Muzzle very square. Eyes fair shape and set. Body of medium heavy type. Coat good length and texture, colour very dark and unsound.

A cat of overall excellence, looking every inch the first class Oriental he is. Head of excellent shape and proportions. Ears excellent shape, size & set. Green eyes of excellent shape. Excellent profile, pleasing chin line and correct bite. Excellent long slim body of correct type, long legs, long whip tail. Excellent coat length and colour, shading developing well and pattern breaking down - there is now no mistaking him for anything other than a Shaded. A very attractive cat indeed, he has come on so well since I last saw him, delightful temperament and shown in excellent condition. A real pleasure to judge him.

BoB - Cassar Simmond's GR CH PIPPASTRO SILVER TALISMAN 62 43s 28/08/04 A large well grown exhibit of overall excellent Oriental type. Coat of excellent texture and just about enough length. No hesitation in awarding BoB.
