My thanks to Dorothy Tomlinson and the Committee for inviting me to judge. The new venue certainly has very easy access, ample parking and a nice sized hall. My thanks to Mark for stewarding for me.

AOV Foreign Premier, Female
1 Gaskell's GR CH & GR PR RAINSONG PASHMINA. 72 43bsq
What a superb cat this is! Each time I meet her I never fail to be impressed by her type. She is a quite outstanding example of the breed. Excellent heads type. Excellent profile with nose of perfect length. Excellent body type. Excellent coat length and texture. Excellent colour. She really is a magnificent cat with a temperament to match!

Asian Self or Tortie Adult
1 Holt & Higgins NEMOREZ FRESHWATER PEARL. 72 Ears of very good shape and size, well set. Top of head a little flat. Good profile overall, though nose just a trifle long. Eyes good shape and set. Very good body type. Small tail defect. Coat a little long but sleek and close lying, dense black and almost 100% sound to the roots.

Oriental Black Adult
1 Sansome's FOXYPAWS NEFERTITI 39 Only just adult and of overall pleasing Oriental type. Ears good shape and set. Overall Profile very good but unfortunately she has a severe skull depression. Eyes good shape and set, rather yellowish green in colour. Excellent body type. Tail just a little short for balance. Coat of excellent length and texture, dense black to roots.

Oriental Spotted Tabby Adult
1 Stafford's HEYBURY ZOE 38b A youngster of overall excellent type. Excellent head overall. Large ears of very good shape and set. Profile just a little uneven. Excellent eye shape and set, fairly good colour. Excellent body type. Tail long and well tapered. Excellent coat length and texture. Good colouring though perhaps a little more red/cream could be asked for. Markings a little too linked for a cat of this age, not sound to the roots and showing far too much agouti invasion. I would suggest that perhaps her breed number may have to be reviewed …. though on the day she was more of a Spotted than a Shaded.
