I was called into judge due to the indisposition of Mrs Jean Gamble
who I hope is now making a good recovery: I hope exhibitors were not too
disappointed. My thanks to Mark as usual for stewarding for
me.
Oriental Cinnamon Kitten
1 & BoB
Picton's GENTANTIQUE ALDRYN 18/12/2006
A kitten of average type. Head
fairly good shape and type overall. Ears of good size but set rather too high
on the head. Skull rather flat resulting in a rather angular profile. Muzzle
showing teething pinch, correct bite and firm chin. Eyes of correct shape but
rather full. Body of medium type and fairly good length. Tail rather short for
balance. Coat of fairly good length, good texture and of a good even colour,
lacking just a little in soundness on the flanks. A sweet natured chap shown in
good condition, just a little overawed by the day. I did give serious
consideration to the award of BoB but felt that he just about made the grade.
He is one of those kittens who could develop into a stunner, or be just plain
ordinary.
Oriental Lilac Neuter
1 PC & BoB Lord's PR
TENAJ PINK PANTHER 21/09/2005
Head of good overall type. Ears of good size,
fairly well set, but held rather upright on occasion. Skull rather flat making
the profile just a little too angular overall. Muzzle showing noticeable pinch.
Eyes good set, rather full, good colour. Excellent body type, with very good
length and balanced legs and tail. Excellent coat length and texture. Colour
appeared very dark and not quite what I expect in a Lilac, but in the absence
of daylight I had to let this pass. Despite my concern over the colour the coat
was even and totally sound right down to the roots. A delightful chap shown in
excellent condition.
Caramel Point Kitten
1 BoB n/a Green's
BELROO ELKIEB 03/02/2007
A kitten of overall pleasing type. Ears large and
well set with very good width between. Very good profile overall, just a little
uneven at present with slight depression at the brow, but otherwise following a
pleasing line. Good lines to wedge. Chin slopes off a little, correct bite.
Eyes rather small, deep set and too straight in set, this combined with heavily
tufted 'hooded' eyebrows rather spoiled the overall appearance of the kitten.
Excellent blue eye colour. Very good length neck and excellent length of body.
Good length to legs, with rather large feet at present. Tail fairly well
tapered but a little short for balance. Short close lying coat of excellent
texture. Points very good colour, tail showing rather heavy ghosting. A
delightful kitten of overall very pleasing type, such a pity about his eyes -
which of course was the reason I did not award the BoB.
Tortie Point
Kitten
1 & BoB Cassar Simmonds STENIC CIELO MACCHIATO 32b2
28/11/2006 A delightful kitten of overall pleasing type. Large ears of very
good shape and set with excellent width between. Excellent top of head.
Excellent profile. Very good lines to wedge with just the slightest muzzle
pinch. Correct bite, chin slopes off a little. Eyes of very good size, shape
and set, pleasing blue colour. Body of very good length and showing elegant
type; long slender legs with very neat paws; long well tapered tail to balance.
Short close lying coat of correct texture. Points colour very well mingled
overall with broken paws and thin cream blaze on face. A very attractive kitten
of good type, well worthy of the BoB.
