My thanks to Pam Beaumont & the Committee for inviting me to Judge at the show - a return after some years. The day was made all the more enjoyable by having my good friend Mrs.Barbara Fellows steward for me once again, as always Barbara, many thanks for your support.
ASIAN TABBY ADULT. Female
1 CC & BoB Orum's LAMORNACARN CANARA 72/45h. 25/08/97 A well grown female of overall good type. Head of pleasing type. Very good top of head. Ears of good size shape & set. Very good profile, excellent chin. Eyes of very good set with glorious expression. Body of good type, tail just a little short for balance. Excellent coat texture. Excellent rich colour showing a good degree of ticking. A most delightful natured lady.
ORIENTAL LILAC ADULT Male
1 CC N/A. Roberts' CH SUKIFLEUR LILAC WARRIOR. 23/12/97 Overall a cat of superb type. Ears of excellent size and set with good top of head. Very good profile. Slight squareness to muzzle spoils otherwise excellent lines to the wedge. Eyes of very good shape andv set, in the hall lighting it appeared to be a very good green. Body of good strong balanced type. Tail needing just a little more length and taper for perfection. Coat of good texture but rather long. Coat colour rather dark and cold toned, but of two definite colours, the upper third being cold and dark lilac, whilst the lower two thirds being distinctly lighter and beige toned. But for his coat colour I would have happily awarded the CC & BoB.

1. Perchard's URPRITY APRIL JANE 13c1. A most attractive female of overall good type. Pleasing head with excellent firm chin and perfect bite. Excellent eye colour. Excellent coat length and texture, of a pleasing even warm tone. Excellent points colour, well marked.
2. Crook's CH. BEARDWOOD JOYBRINGER 64/15. A strong female of excellent size and build. Excellent strong head. Excellent bone structure. Superb coat length and texture.
3. Gratton's CH. KHANABAD ORIENTAL SPLENDOUR. 13c4

1. Barrett's ESAYA BLUE DANUBE. 13c2. Overall a nice exhibit. Ears a fraction high in set. Coat of fair length and texture. Markings a trifle uneven.
2. Miller's TWEEDIEMILL POOSIE NANCY. 13c1. Fair head type. Coat of good length, but rather harsh textured. Good even markings.
3. Perchard's CH. PANJANDRUM RUFUS. 13c5. Overall a nice chap, but he was very 'grumpy' and did himself no favours!

1. Lendon's DAKOTHA V RACOON 64/20. A superb chap of excellent strong build. Head well balanced and of strong proportions. Excellent body type. Excellent strength to bone. Excellent coat length and texture. Certainly a nice chap to meet.
2. Riley's CH. SANTAMORA TOMMYBOY. 13c2. A large strong cat, very well balanced. Good head type. Ears of pleasing size and set. Excellent eyes. Well marked. Excellent colour. Excellent coat texture.
3. Stephen's RHUNACRAIG BLUE THUNDER. 13c2

1. Campbell's RHUNACRAIG FLAMING STAR 13c5. Fairly good type overall. Eyes a little pale. Coat of fair length and texture, fair markings.

1. Melia's TSAILUN SILVER CHARISMA 63s. Fair type. Coat rather harsh in texture. Silver very 'muddy' and showing poor contrast,

1. Taylor's CH BRIZLINCOAT TODDY 63c. This chap was extremely nervous. He appeared to be of average type. Coat of fair length but needs more definition to ticking.

1. Hunt's CH & PR PARRYANNE PORTIA 13c12. A grand old lady of very good dainty type overall. Lovely head type. Well marked. Excellent coat length and texture. Lovely temperament.
2. Sharp's OLTOMAINE HENRY COONPURR 64/18. A good strong exhibit. Head a little too narrow. Coat of good length but rather too woolly in texture.

1. Luck's CH & PR BEARDWOOD APOLLO 64/31dt. What a superb exhibit - he quite made my day! Excellent large strong type. Massive head showing superb strength. Bite a little uneven. Excellent strong body. Excellent coat length and texture, very good coloration. Excellent temperament and shown in superb condition.
2. Chappell's ADQUALO FEARLESS FRITZE. 66. Excellent size and build. Pleasing head. Nose just a fraction long. Excellent body type. Coat of good length and texture, but I'd prefer a little lighter in colour.
