My thanks to Show Manager Betty Bury and the Committee for inviting me to judge at this show once again - this was my first judging engagement with this Club for some years. The show was extremely well organised and this certainly made for an enjoyable day. Unfortunately there were very many empty pens. My thanks as usual to Mark for stewarding for me.

What a superb exhibit … this
wonderful chap has all the hallmarks of a quality exhibit …. he is a
'white Oriental'! Head of excellent overall shape. Ears of very good size,
shape and set with excellent width between. Excellent top of head. Excellent
profile. Excellent lines to wedge with only the slightest of pinches. Excellent
eye shape size and setting, very good blue colour. Excellent chin line, even
bite. Excellent strong body type. Tail of good length, just a little thick at
the base and needing more taper. Coat just a fraction long, excellent texture,
very well prepared and clearest white in colour. Excellent condition and
temperament. From the volume of his purring this delightful chap seemed to
enjoy the attention! A most attractive exhibit indeed and well worthy of the
Grand Premier Certificate which he won in a very strong class. I see from my
catalogue his dam is Gd Ch Stramash Winter Belle one of my all time favourite
Orientals! My congratulations to Breeders/Owners.

Ears of very good size and shape though carried
a little high on the head. Excellent top of head. Excellent eye shape and set,
the brightest clearest of greens in colour. Good profile. Excellent chin and
bite. Excellent strong Oriental body type. Tail a little short for balance.
Coat a little woolly in texture. Excellent colour and showing fair ticking. A
rather grumpy chap who did himself no favours.

a little flat. Green eyes of very good shapeand set. Excellent strong chin,
perfect bite. Excellent body type Tail rather blunt. Excellent coat length and
texture. Excellent colour overall but lacking soundness.

Head of good overall type. Ears good shape and set. Profile uneven showing
noticeable depression at brow. Muzzle showing severe pinch. Eyes of good shape
and set, good colour. Body of very good Oriental type. Coat good length and
texture, rather dark in colour but almost sound to the roots.

Excellent head shape overall. Ears of excellent shape and
setting with good width between. Muzzle lacking substance which spoils lines to
wedge. Chin very shallow. Excellent profile overall. Excellent eye shape and
set. Body of good type. Coat of very good length and texture. Silver ground
rather muddy in colour. Showing tarnishing to front legs and muzzle. Overall
this chap lacked sparkle and looked rather small and tired today.

What more can I say about this
outstanding exhibit that I, and indeed most other Judges, have not already
said? At over seven years of age she is quite exceptional. Perfectly balanced
head. Excellent ears size, shape and set. Excellent top of head. Excellent even
profile. Excellent lines to wedge. Eyes of very good shape and set, just a
little large - clear grape green colour. Body of good Oriental type but rather
plump. Tail a little short for perfection. Short close lying coat of excellent
texture. Excellent even shading, silver ground colour appeared rather dull in
hall lighting. I understand that this superb exhibit is now to retire whilst
she is still at the very top, and that this show will be her last competitive
appearance. That this grand old lady is an outstanding example of an Oriental
cannot be disputed, she has taken top awards and certificates of every kind
during the last six years under a wide selection of Judges. My congratulations
to her owner/breeder.

Tomlinson's NEMOREZ PIXLILY ATKAMEHAHD 72/43es
Excellent head type.
Ears very good size and set. Excellent profile, nose of correct length. Muzzle
just a little square. Very good eye shape and set. Very good body type with
dainty legs and tail in proportion. Coat very long and rather soft in texture.
Excellent silver ground, excellent shading. Overall I was very impressed with
the type and colouring of this exhibit, but unfortunately I felt that the coat
length - which was almost twice the length I would expect - precluded the award
of the CC. I conferred with a fellow Judge who concurred. Such a pity because
in all other respects she certainly reached CC standard.

Bayley's CH NEMOREZ SPELL BINDER. 72/45s A pleasing exhibit. Very good
head type overall. Ears of good shape and set. Good profile, nose a little
long. Good eye shape and set. Dainty body of correct type. Excellent coat
length and texture. Good ticking on excellent silver ground. Well deserving BoB
Havana Adult
All three exhibits were rejected
by the Duty Vet.

This chap is of outstanding type
overall. Ears of excellent shape, size and set. Excellent profile. Excellent
eye shape and set, clear blue colour of good depth. Excellent lines to wedge.
Excellent chin line. Excellent body length and type, carrying just a little too
much weight for perfection. Long legs, tail a little short for balance. Coat of
excellent length and texture. Certainly an animal of quality. I do not
recollect handling this chap before.

Phillips' CH SEIDO SORTILEGE Head of fair type. Ears good shape and set,
could be larger. Profile very uneven, skull flat. Severe muzzle pinch. Bite
very untidy and appeared to be uneven. Fair body type. Tail short with terminal
pip. Coat of fair colour but very unsound.

This chap definitely fits into the 'Oriental excellence'
group of cats! He is a most attractive cat of outstanding type and in perfect
show condition. Excellent head shape. Very good even profile. Good strong chin
line. Very good even lines to wedge. Excellent eye shape, set and size - of the
most perfect brilliant green colour I can recollect seeing for some years!
Excellent body type and length. Tail a little short for balance. Coat sleek,
close lying and excellent texture. Colour appeared to be very good in the hall
lighting and was almost totally sound to the roots. Excellent condition and
temperament. I was very impressed with this chap, and in any other colour there
is no doubt he would be of Gd Ch quality - most certainly an impressive cat.

AHYOKA 42h Ears of fair size shape and set. Fair profile overall, skull
very flat. Muzzle showing severe pinch. Bite very untidy. Fair body type. Coat
of good length and texture. Coat colour very pale and lacking in intensity with
a very poor silver base. The coat shows very heavy ghost markings with what
appear to be markings in the chocolate areas - I would have liked to see this
in clear natural daylight.
