My thanks to Show Manager Alison Beattie and the committee for inviting me to judge in Blackpool once again. Mark & I arrived home from Jordan only two days before the show and were a little tired! I'm grateful to Mark for stewarding for me as usual.

Oriental Grand Premier Male
GPC Holdsworth's PR BILLSTES DREAMBOY 37d 12/12/02
A strong masculine lad of overall excellence. Head of very good shape overall, maybe needing just a little more in length for perfection. Ears of very good size, shape and set, with excellent breadth between. Eyes just a little large but of excellent shape and set, very good colour. Very good overall profile though flattening just a little at the top. Excellent lines to wedge. Excellent body type, with good length to body and elegant neck. Long slender legs with neat paws. Tail of fairly good length and well tapered. Coat of excellent texture, fair length and excellent red colour with minimal markings. A delightful natured lad shown in excellent condition, well deserving of the GPC.

2 Nall's PR MERRYTAIL RORY 28 24/01/03
Ears of very good size, shape and set with good width between. Profile very angular and uneven showing depression to skull, with both dip and bump to nose. Body of excellent strong Oriental type with very good length. Balanced legs and tail. Coat of fairly good length and texture, pattern rather indistinct with a very high degree of agouti invasion, colour very cold and showing grey roots - he is quite clearly a tabby. A lovely natured lad shown in excellent condition, but not quite up to certificate level.

AC Bicolour Ragdoll Adult Male

This lad is only just adult, and what promise he shows. For such a youngster he shows a maturity which is so often missing from youngsters twice his age. Head overall of excellent type and conformation. Ears of excellent size, shape and set with correct width between. Excellent flat top of head. Excellent profile, excellent nose length and perfect break. Strong chin. Excellent cheek development and delightful muzzle shape. Eyes of excellent size and shape showing a clear bright blue colour. Long body of excellent size and substance for age. Excellent neck. Legs strong and well boned, tail to balance. Coat of excellent length and texture for age, excellent colour points and body, excellent markings. Shown in excellent condition. This delightful youngster was a joy to handle and I would predict a very promising show career… maybe even to match that of his illustrious mother? Congratulations to owner/breeders.

AC Bicolour Ragdoll Neuter Female

A cat of overall excellence with faultless head type. Ears of excellent size, perfectly set; excellent broad, flat top of head; excellent profile; excellent cheeks, and excellent muzzle shape. Clear blue eyes of excellent size and shape. Body of excellent type; with excellent length of back and short neck, strong well boned legs, tail just a trifle short for perfection. Excellent coat length and texture with good furnishings and excellent ruff. Excellent body contrast, excellent seal colour, very well marked overall. Excellent condition and temperament …. She was as always a delight to handle, though today far more relaxed than in the past. I have judged this outstanding female on numerous occasions and never cease to be impressed by her very close conformation to the Breed Standard. I have awarded her various certificates and it was my pleasure to award her first Premier certificate. Well deserving of both the PC and BoB.

A very pleasing lad of overall excellent type and markings, but today very short of coat.

Haworth's GR PR POLLYWOFFLES TYSON 66/31a 16/04/99
A superb example of the breed with size, substance and overall quality. I have often admired this lad, today he really looked good, but he had to stand aside for the lady.

AC Colourointed/Mitted Ragdoll Neuter Male
1 PC & BoB Logan's HAPPINESS WORZEL 66 17/11/05
A large well grown lad of very pleasing type overall. Ears of very good size and shape, correctly set with perfect width between. Very good flat top of head. Very good profile overall, maybe just a fraction long in the nose. Excellent eye shape and set. Good muzzle shape, well developed cheeks, firm chin. Excellent body type with size and substance. Excellent legs and balanced tail. Coat of excellent length and texture. A delightful natured chap shows in excellent condition, well deserving of the PC & BoB. I liked him as a kitten and he certainly seems to be fulfilling that early promise.

A pleasing exhibit of overall very pleasing type, certainly a lad of PC standard, but today he was overshadowed by his little brother.

Jones' PR BOSSDOLLS PRINCESANGEL A cat of very pleasing type, but rather small compared to the two above.

Havana Adult Female

A mature exhibit of overall excellence. Ears large and well set. Excellent top of head. Excellent profile, good firm chin. Eyes very good shape and set, excellent colour, haws rather noticeable. Excellent body type of good length. Slender legs. Well tapered tail to balance. Excellent coat length and texture, superb colour, sound almost to the roots. A superb lady looking every inch a Havana.

2 Ellis' SCHIMMEL MAZPAHS CASTANA 29 17/01/06
A youngster of overall good type. Ears of very good size and shape, but she tends to hold them a little high for some of the time, fairly good width between. Profile basically very good but a little uneven on top of head. Muzzle showing slight pinch and chin a little shallow. Excellent body type showing good length with balanced legs and tail. Coat of good length and texture, overall a pleasing warm brown in colour, but alas it is so very unsound. Excellent temperament and condition.

Oriental Lilac Adult Male
1 CC n/a Brownrigg's HEMLOCK VIVA LASVEGAS 29c 11/05/06
Overall, even taking into account his age, I considered that his head was rather weak and effeminate for a male …. it would be more acceptable on a female. Ears of good size and shape, well set with good top of head. Fairly good overall profile but showing a few dips and bumps which will probably go as he bodies up. Muzzle rather weak. Eyes of good shape and set, just a little large for balance and rather mustard in colour. Body of rather slight feminine build. Shown in excellent condition, maybe he need a few months to develop. Coat of good length and texture, colour even and fairly sound. I didn't feel he was up to CC standard.

BoB : Holdsworth's UK GR CH WESTGARTH SORCERERS SECRET 37d 29/12/01 A mature exhibit of strong masculine type with a superb rich red coat almost devoid of markings. He is now beginning to show his age. Well deserving of BoB

Oriental Cream or Apricot Adult Male

This lad was still very much a big kitten, however he's all the time to mature. A youngster of very good type overall. Ears of very good size, shape and set with good width between. Very good profile overall, though skull does flatten off just a little. Good chin-line, correct bite. Fairly good muzzle. Good lines to wedge. Eyes of very good shape and set, good colour. Long slender body of fine type, balanced legs and tail. Needs to muscle up. A delightful tempered lad shown in excellent condition. Coat of good length and texture, very even colour with minimal markings. I considered that he reached CC standard, it will be interesting to see him when he matures.

What a cracking good little lass! A very promising youngster of overall excellent type. Ears of excellent shape, size and set with superb top of head. Excellent profile. Excellent lines to wedge, strong chin, correct bite. Eyes of excellent shape and set, very good size and colur. Excellent Oriental body type showing good length and elegance with balanced legs and tail. Coat of excellent length and texture, showing excellent even cinnamon colour though just a little unsound. Excellent temperament and condition. A superb lass showing great promise … I did not have to consider if she was up to CC standard because she so obviously is! A delight.
