TEESSIDE CAT CLUB SHOW

My thanks to Veda Price and Len Southern and the
Committee for inviting me to judge at this years show held at the Eston Sports
Academy which is an excellent venue. The entry was good and the overall quality
of cats I judged was high so hopefully the change of venue will help the
popularity of this show. My thanks to Mark for stewarding for me as usual.

Hassanien's HAPPYTIME HEAVENLY SKYE 66a 10-05-06
Ears of very good size,
shape and set. Good flat skull. Very good profile with correct nose. Correct
bite, very good chin. Lovely muzzle shape and excellent cheek definition for
age. Eyes very good shape and size, pleasing colour. Good strength of neck.
Long body of very good type and excellent size and substance. Strong well boned
legs. Coat of very good length and texture. Very good points and body colour. A
promising youngster, she needs to fill out a little, which I've no doubt she
will with maturity. Well deserving of CC.
2 Hurrell's FARMHOUSE KONTIKI
66g 09-09-06
At 11 months this lass still looks like a kitten and needs to
body up and an increase in size if she is to compete with the 'big girls'. Good
flat skull of fair breadth, ears of reasonable size and shape but held just a
little upright. Fairly good profile. Muzzleand cheeks lacking sufficient
development. Body of reasonable type but lacking the size I look for. Plenty of
time to grow, but grow she must if she's to have a successful show career.
BoB to Hassanien's CH EMERISLE FLEUR DELISE 66g 29-05-05

very attractive female of overall extremely good type. Excellent headshape.
Ears of good size and shape, correctly set. Very good top of head. Excellent
eye shape size and colour. Very good profile showing neat nose. Excellent
muzzle shape, cheek development and overall balance to head. Body of very good
type, and well proportioned. Excellent coat. Excellent points colouring and
clear body. A quality lady well deserving of the BoB, my only criticism of this
lass is that she is a little smaller than I would like. Excellent condition and
temperament.

Sprot's RAGALYN MOONSTONE 66 31a 02-06-06
A young male of excellent type
overall. Head of correct proportions and extremely well balanced. Ears of very
good shape and set. Excellent top of head. Excellent profile. Correct bite,
good chin. Excellent muzzle shape and superb cheek definition, especially in
one so young. Excellent eye shape and size, really good blue colour. Very good
neck. Excellent body length and type. Strong legs with good bone. Excellent
coat length and texture, well marked. Excellent condition and temperament. This
is a really promising young male of obvious quality, however though he is just
of adequate size I would like him to be a little bigger for perfection,
hopefully he will make this size with maturity. Shown in excellent condition
this superb natured lad was a joy to judge.

A cat of overall
excellent type. This lass really does have an outstanding head. Ears excellent
size, shape and set. Excellent top of head. Excellent profile. Excellent muzzle
shape, with clearly defined cheeks. Excellent eye shape and size, very good
blue. Very good chin line and correct bite. Body of excellent type and
proportions but rather small for her age, and it was for this reason that her
much younger brother took the BoB. Her body type is superb but there does need
to be just a little more of her. Excellent coat length and texture, excellent
colour and overall markings. Excellent condition and presentation. I was very
impressed with this excellent natured lass, she was a delight to handle.
Definitely a lady of quality.
2 Hassanien's HAPPYTIME DAZZLING SUMMER
66 31t 10-09-06
A young lass not yet a year old lacking the size and
substance needed in this breed. Ears of very good shape and set, good size.
Very good top of head. Good profile, fair muzzle and cheeks for age. Eyes good
shape and size, but rather a pale blue in colour. Body of reasonable type, but
very small and fine boned. Coat of good length and texture, well marked with
reasonable tabby markings. Sweet natured lass shown in good condition.
3 Abram's NAPTIME TRULY SCRUMPTIOUS 66 31t 13-09-05
This lass at
nearly 2 years was very small and lacking both size and substance, she has
little if any more size and weight than a medium Foreign female. Ears fair size
shape and set. Good top of head. Profile a little straight, nose a little long.
Muzzle rather pointed, cheeks lacking development with the result that the face
is far too triangular. Body small and fine boned. Good coat length and texture,
well marked. A happy lass shown in good condition.

A promising little lass of overall good type. Ears of good
shape needing a little more width between. Good profile. Muzzle developing
well, cheeks showing reasonable development. Eyes good shape but rather a pale
blue. Body type good and overall showing promise. Coat good length and texture.
Good colouring. A happy little soul who seemed to be enjoying her day out and
all the attention!

A cat of overall
good type deserving of the BoB. A well grown lad of good size and proportions,
if I was to be critical of him it would be his eye shape and set, this being
far too horizontal, with rather heavy upper lids. Excellent temperament.

What a delightful natured lady … she
merrily trilled away sounding more like a trimphone than a cat and generally
seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself ….such an affectionate lass too!
She certainly knows how to influence the judge! Head of excellent type. Ears
very good shape and set, skull just a little flatter than I like. Excellent eye
shape and set. Excellent body type. Coat of excellent length and texture,
excellent markings, base colour just a little cool. Well deserving of the CC
and definitely a great pleasure to handle!!

delightful kitten of exceptionally good Asian type. Excellent head shape. Ears
excellent shape AND SET. Excellent top of head. Excellent profile. Excellent
muzzle. Excellent body type. Excellent coat length and texture. Excellent clear
smoke developing. Certainly a very attractive kitten, and one who has a very
promising future if this early promise materialises. I do however have some
misgiving as to his colour which I feel is more likely to be 42q rather than
42bq. His tail tip appeared to be very dark and as indeed are his pads and I
felt this was too dark for a Chocolate, however in the absence of clear natural
daylight I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Without doubt he is a kitten of
great quality and I hope I have the opportunity of seeing him as he developes.
Excellent condition and temperament.
AC Oriental Champion Male
Gr Ch to Holdsworth's UK GR CH WESTGARTH SORCERERS SECRET 37d 29-12-2001
I last reported on this excellent Oriental male at Lincoln last month where
I awarded him the Imperial - I can add nothing further to that report. This
mature Red male is an outstanding example of an Oriental and though an older
gent he still clearly has much to offer. Today he looked superb and well
deserved the Grand. He was obviously on very best behaviour and had a clean dry
pen! I understand that he was awarded the Imperial today and so qualified for
that title and will now retire from the showbench -I will miss seeing him. My
heartiest congratulations to both his Owners and to his Breeder. Certainly a
cat to be proud of and definitely one of the best Orientals around today.
